A while back I wrote a review for an album that I had recently purchased. The article does not exist online in its original form anymore, but that little writing exercise sparked a bit of creativity. I have listened to heavy music in one form or another for well over half my lifetime—even through the grunge and alternative years in college. Writing that one little review created a renewed interest in the music that I had listened to for so long.

A result of that renewed attention is my latest project, MouthForWar.net. As of this writing its sole capacity as a site is to provide reviews for recently released albums in the heavy music genres. The site does not make an attempt to be an end all news site as there are more well established and better equiped sites out there that do that job perfectly. MouthForWar.net is my way of enjoying music at another level. The reviews don’t pretend to know all about music or scenes. It’s written from a fan’s perspective—straight forward and with little fluff.
