REH3design has made some slight strategic changes to our site and the design.Principles blog.
If you’re a frequent visitor of either the corporate site or the design.Principles web designer’s resource blog, you’ll have noticed some minor and not so minor changes.
With regard to the main site for REH3design, the enhancements that have been made are ultimately the result of tracking the site’s traffic with Mint. Using one of the many useful plugin peppers to watch outclicks from the homepage, it became apparent rather quickly that most of this site’s visitors were leaving via several links to outside sites (including design.Principles). Next to no one was venturing into the portfolio or other internal portions of the site. That alone was the driving factor to make some edits to the layout. I am hoping that the revisions that have been made will help retain visitors long enough for them to explore more of this site before taking off to the blog or a client’s site.
design.Principles was just recently redesigned not too long ago. I was extremely happy with the result of that initial redesign. It only just dawned on me that there was one additional change to be made in the progress of that blog. Again, I want to keep my business growing and keeping visitors at the site is a major way to do so. I made a strategic decision to include the design.Principles blog into the revamp of the corporate site. I don’t want to do a full redesign. I merely want to keep it consistent in look and feel with the REH3design brand. The changes will only be cosmetic. None of the links, feeds, or content have moved and are all still located at http://resource.reh3.com/. Expect the relaunch soon.
I hope that the faithful visitors to the site understand the thinking behind the shift in strategy and keep coming back for more.
